KAZAK Caucasian Antique Rug

A spectacularly animated, brilliantly abrashed field transitions through stunning hues of teal, royal, cobalt and azure blues in this extremely compelling 19th century Caucasian Kazak rug. Upon this skillfully variegated background, five richly colored latch hook medallions ascend the narrow field, powerfully alternating between gold and crimson. Charming gazelle forms appear spontaneously throughout the field adding the individuality that is much desired in tribal antique rugs. This treasure is especially finely woven for a Kazak and boasts very good condition at well over a century of age.
